Ah, the week! Busy routine topped with hustle and traffic all around certainly makes you desperately wait for a weekend that makes up for all the weariness. Oh, don’t you start googling the places to go as we have a perfect place for you to de-stress this weekend.
We recommend you to visit Tippling Street, a newly opened gastro-pub located at the Juhu Church Road inside Hotel Horizon. Entering the pub you instantly get the cool British vibe with the classy English interiors that make you fall in love with this place at the first site. The property is spacious with a seating arrangement that is properly organized and assorted with high tables and chair, comfortable couches along with a private dining area if you have a large group accompanying you.
We visited the place for dinner which was certainly the best decision as the place looks beautiful at night with its amazing interior flattered by good lighting that compliments the entire place. The music was soothing and the place was giving a nice bar vibe which made for a perfect start of the evening.
To begin with, we ordered few cocktails from their menu as suggested by the service staff. Our pick from the cocktails is The Morning Star, a Gin based cocktail with homemade Galangal reduction with a touch of smoked rosemary. This is a must try cocktail for those always with a Gin craving. Another cocktail on our list would be Wise Whiskey which also comes with a hint of rosemary, infused with burnt oranges, egg white and a touch of bitters. For those with a choice for a stronger taste in cocktails, this option is a must try. Followed by these two, we would suggest you try out the Bloggers Choice which is a Vodka based cocktail infused with lemongrass and a touch of homemade Thai ginger reduction. Flavours in this cocktail perfectly balance each other making this drink one of the popular items on the menu.
From the good variety of appetizers which they call as bar bites our pick are Baked Brie, Patatas Bravas, Chicken Tenders and Lamb Patty. The phyllo-wrapped gooey brie served with honey chilli reduction came with a nice balance of flavors followed by the crispy potatoes of Patatas Bravas instantly topping our favorites’ list.
From the small plates on their menu, we would recommend the Beetroot Hummus and Prawn Ajillo and from the large plates, our favorites are Fried Chicken Kiev and Grilled Tenderloin. All in all the meat they served us was nicely cooked and juicy and the food perfectly paired with the drinks we had ordered.
After munching on their savory treats, we switched our taste buds for some sugary goodness. The staff recommended us to dig into their famous 70% Dark Chocolate Mousse and the Vanilla Panacotta. For all the chocolate lovers, the former deserves a try which comes with a twist while the panacotta serves as a perfect summer dessert with its fresh fruity flavours.
All in all, our experience at Tippling Street was nice with delicious food, refreshing drinks, courteous staff and ambience that certainly makes this English themed pub stand out from the rest.
