Cecconi’s has opened at Soho House, Mumbai
Originating in London via Venice in 1978, Cecconi’s Mumbai joins sister restaurants in London, New York, Miami, West Hollywood, Istanbul, Barcelona, Berlin and Amsterdam. Cecconi’s Mumbai faces the beach, with a large outdoor terrace overlooking the sea.
The Italian restaurant serves modern classic Northern Italian food with cicchetti, pasta, pizzas made in the custom-built wood-oven, seasonal vegetables and salads, as well as Cecconi’s favourites spaghetti lobster, crab ravioli and meatballs. The menu will feature the same dishes as its sister restaurants which includes Cicchetti and Appetizers like Baked gnocchi romana, Quails eggs with tonnato and Tuna Tartare with avocado. There are Planet based healthy options too like Risotto with asparagus and peas.
Pasta and Pizza options such as Tonnarelli with cacio and pepe, Crab ravioli with saffron and cherry tomatoes, Spaghetti lobster and Buffalo mozzaraellla with tomato and basil pizzas are also available.
Guests can also try dishes cooked in the wood oven, from Aubergine parmigiana, Pork belly with peppers and balsamic, Red snapper and Lamb chops.
For a sweet finish, Cecconi’s favourite profiteroles served with pistachio ice cream, as well as lemon cheesecake, blueberry compote, cannolo, Chocolate fondant, classic tiramisu, hazelnut espresso affogato, gelato & sorbet and a selection of Italian cheeses. Soho House classic cocktails and sodas will be served alongside Italian specialties. ‘Martini piccolo’, martini extra dry, bellinis, sparkling wine and Italian olives.
The design of Cecconi’s Mumbai combines the stripped-back Soho House Mumbai interior with an elegant Venetian feel. The restaurant has glass chandeliers, warm timber and rattan panelling with antique Indian handmade brass lights. There is an L-shaped marble bar and a seating area with leather banquettes and Indian cut-glass lights. Outdoors there are rattan chairs, tables and plants lining the terrace.
